Frequently Asked Questions

Practical information about liver cancer molecular blood testing and the patient process.

What is the Liver Cancer Fusion Predictor?

A blood-based molecular test that analyzes selected cancer-associated fusion transcript signals associated with HCC.

Is this a diagnostic test for liver cancer?

A molecular screening result alone does not establish or rule out HCC. Diagnostic evaluation may include contrast-enhanced imaging and clinical assessment.

Can AFP be normal when HCC is present?

Yes. Normal AFP does not exclude HCC, which is one reason investigators study additional blood-based markers.

How is blood collected?

The current ordering workflow is designed for qualified mobile phlebotomy where service is available. Check the booking portal for specific options.

How much is the test?

The booking portal currently shows a Standard Package priced at $160. Confirm the final displayed total before paying.

How quickly are results available?

Timing depends on specimen transportation, laboratory processing, and reporting. Refer to the order confirmation for applicable estimates.

Should I continue ultrasound surveillance?

Follow your healthcare professional’s surveillance recommendations. Molecular testing does not automatically replace guideline-recommended imaging.
